Preparations for the ExpoTech Pavilion

Ahead of EXPO 2027: Serbia’s Innovation Ecosystem in Preparation

As part of the preparations for the organization of the EXPO TECH Pavilion within the Specialized World Expo EXPO 2027 Belgrade, the first working meeting of partners was held, marking the beginning of coordinated preparations for the joint presentation of Serbia’s innovation ecosystem.

At the working meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation included State Secretary Dr Marija Gnjatović and Assistant Minister Ana Marinković, together with Advisor Zoran Tomić and Dr Saša Lazović, Director of the Innovation Fund, as well as representatives of science and technology parks, regional innovation startup centres and the Center for the Promotion of Science.

Under the patronage of, and in cooperation with the Ministry, the Innovation Fund is coordinating the programmatic and operational preparations for the joint participation of key actors of Serbia’s innovation ecosystem, including science and technology parks, regional innovation centres, startups and innovative companies.

The goal of the EXPO TECH Pavilion is to present concrete results of the domestic innovation ecosystem — from ideas and research, through development and financial support, to market-ready technological solutions.

In the coming period, in cooperation with partners, the selection and preparation of solutions to be presented within the EXPO TECH Pavilion will follow, accompanied by a clearly defined programme and a strong international dimension.

EXPO TECH represents an opportunity for Serbia to showcase a strong and functional innovation ecosystem built through continuous investment in knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship.
