Grants awarded for innovative solutions of domestic companies

The Innovation Fund has allocated EUR 5 million in grants to finance 35 projects through a Public call for the Mini Grants Program and the Collaborative Grant Scheme Program.

Sensor-based device for professional pianists, software solution for optimization and control of energy consumption in buildings and plants, new technology for production and processing of truffles, then mobile ECG device for detecting heart attack symptoms, ultrasonic sensor and software for detecting oil pipeline leaks, are just some of the supported projects, which will be developed in the coming period.

Through an independent selection process, 22 projects of young companies and startup teams and 13 joint projects of companies and scientific research organizations were selected. Those projects that have a capable team, innovative potential, sustainable competitive advantage and clear development plans, as well as sufficient quality to compete in the international market were supported. 234 applications were submitted for the public call, and the largest number of proposed projects is in the field of information and communication technologies, machinery and mechanical engineering, natural sciences and agriculture and food industry.

Funds for the development of innovative products, services and technologies were provided from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, and through the “Competitiveness and Jobs Project”  (based on a loan agreement with the World Bank).
