Inclusio: For a world without barriers
Technology for more inclusive access to public facilities
People with disabilities often face challenges that prevent them from participating equally in everyday life. One problem is access to public facilities such as banks, shops, post office, and other institutions. Startup Inclusio has created an innovative and practical solution that enables people with disabilities to communicate more simply and efficiently.
"Inclusio was designed as a system that helps people with disabilities signal their arrival in front of the facility while informing employees about the specific needs of users and the type of assistance they need," explains Bojan Martinovic, founder and executive director of the startup Inclusio.
A system that combines inclusion and innovation
The goal of this system is to provide users with a positive experience and to provide companies, institutions and organizations with the highest level of service. At the same time, it helps raise public awareness of the importance of inclusion. "This is an opportunity for companies to emphasize their commitment to inclusion and show responsibility towards all clients," adds Bojan Martinovic.
This solution confirms that the most successful products respond to users’ specific needs. Visually impaired since birth, Martinovic started with the idea of creating a solution that would make daily movement easier for visually impaired and blind people. However, he advanced the idea to include other target groups, which brought numerous challenges.
"The biggest challenge was working with a very sensitive group of users. Software for people with different types of disabilities requires an entirely different approach to development, which encouraged us to think outside the box of conventional design,” Martinovic points out.
Fund support
The support of the Fund for Innovation Activity was crucial in this process. Thanks to the European Union funds within the Fund's program, Inclusio formed a quality team and successfully marketed the product. Today, people recognize this startup as a serious player with exceptional potential.
Startup Inclusio says that Serbia is a favorable environment for developing innovations and encourages everyone to think about starting similar projects. "Be proud that you work in Serbia because the level of support for innovation in our country exceeds many developed countries. We especially recommend applying for the Fund's programs which offer support for every stage of innovation development. Within these programs, you can achieve significant progress in 6 to 12 months, saving several years of independent work," advises Martinovic.
For a more inclusive society
Inclusio is not just a technology platform but a vision of a more inclusive and just society. In addition to providing easier access to public facilities, this project carries the mission of raising awareness about the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities and possible solutions to these problems. The positive impact of this innovation has already been recognized by many users, and its potential for expansion is exceptional. "Together we can build a society without obstacles," concludes Martinovic.
