Three Serbian Teams going to Slush 2017

14.11.2017

Finnish Ambassador in Serbia Pertti Ikonen hosted a “Slush Kick-off Cocktail” at his residence, honoring participation of the Serbian teams at the prestigious Slush Conference in Helsinki. The three teams Mindy, Sunthetic and UrbiGo used the occasion to present their projects. The audience was also addressed by Ambassador Ikonen, and Managing Director of the Innovation Fund Ivan Rakonjac.

This year Finnish experts at Slush decided that all three teams from Serbia will take part in the programme Global Impact Accelerator 2017 and the Slush 2017 Conference to be held in Helsinki in November and December.

Serbia is one of 20 countries worldwide organizing local Slush competitions. Nineteen start-ups took part in the local competition this year, presenting different ideas they are developing in the field of sustainable innovation. The local Slush competition is organized every year since 2015 by the Innovation Fund and the Embassy of Finland in Belgrade.

The Slush conference, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, offers start-ups an opportunity to present themselves to a large number of investors and media, while the Accelerator programme provides a chance to improve their skills and business models.
